Description
EA RoboFibo – Fibonacci-Grid MT4 Expert Advisor with Source Code
EA RoboFibo is a Fibonacci retracement and grid-based pending order Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 4, built for multi-currency forex trading on the H1 timeframe. The v12 package includes full MT4 source code (.mq4 and .ex4), allowing buyers to inspect and modify the logic before running it live. The only available performance data is a 27-day backtest using MT4’s control points model — results are not independently verified and should not be treated as live performance proof.
Key Highlights
- ✅ Full MT4 source code included (.mq4 and .ex4) — inspect or modify before use
- ✅ Fibonacci retracement + pending order grid across major pairs on H1
- ✅ Three preset files for $100 minimum deposit at 12%, 15%, and 20% drawdown tiers
- ✅ News filter pauses trading 60 minutes before and after high-impact events
- ✅ Grid and optional Martingale-style lot scaling are documented and visible in settings — not hidden
Performance Results
The only performance data available for EA RoboFibo v12 comes from a 27-day AUDCAD backtest run on a demo account in January–February 2025. The backtest used MT4’s control points modeling method, which the strategy tester itself flags as a crude approximation. Modelling quality shows as n/a in the tester report. These results cannot be used to predict live performance.
Within those limitations, the backtest recorded an 81.9% win rate, a profit factor of 1.98, and a maximal drawdown of 34.15% on a $5,000 deposit over 630 trades. Average losing trades were more than double the average winners in dollar terms (-$47.62 vs. $20.82), which is consistent with grid accumulation behavior.

Three older Myfxbook accounts exist under developer Yonif for RoboFibo v7 and v8 — not v12. One v8 account shows a -99.64% loss with 99.96% drawdown. One v8 News Filter account shows a 616,529% historical gain alongside 68.76% drawdown. Both were last updated in 2016–2017, are partly private, and cannot be treated as proof of current v12 performance.
The 34% backtest drawdown, combined with documented grid positions of up to 30 open orders per side and optional Martingale-style lot scaling via LotsExponent, means a losing sequence can compound rapidly. The v8 account wipeout on Myfxbook shows this is a real outcome. Before risking live capital: use the lowest-drawdown preset, size lots conservatively, verify broker spread against the PipStep 50 setting, and run on demo for a minimum of 90 days. Stop-loss and take-profit are disabled by default in documented v12 settings — confirm your risk controls before going live.
All historical Myfxbook data relates to earlier EA versions from 2016–2017, not the current v12 package. The v12 backtest used an unreliable modeling method. Demo validation under current market conditions is required before risking capital.
How It Works
Strategy: Fibonacci-grid pending order system combining Fibonacci retracement levels (76.4 and 23.6) with dynamic pending stop and pending limit orders. Trades reversals and breakouts across major forex pairs on H1. RSI (period 14) and a 60-period moving average act as entry filters.
Entry: Pending stop and pending limit orders placed at calculated Fibonacci distances. RSI and MA confirmation required per documented settings. A Pending Stop Reverse mode is documented for counter-trend scenarios.
Exit: Global take-profit across all open positions (TakeProfitAll: 20 pips documented). Individual TP and SL are disabled by default. Grid positions are closed as a basket when the global target is reached.
Risk Control: Auto lot sizing active by default (Risk: 0.1). Fixed lot fallback available at 0.01. Maximum 30 buy and 30 sell orders permitted per documented settings. Grid spacing controlled by PipStep 50 with PipstepExponent 1.5 scaling. LotsExponent 1.1 enables optional Martingale-style lot increase across grid levels. News filter pauses trading 60 minutes before and after high-impact events.
✅ Best conditions: Ranging or retracing market on H1 • Low spread, tight execution broker • Balance sufficient to sustain 30-order grid exposure
⚠️ Caution: Strong trending markets that override Fibonacci levels without pullback • High or variable spread brokers that compress the 20-pip global target

Does EA RoboFibo have verified live results for the current v12 version? +
No. There is no current public Myfxbook, FXBlue, or MQL5 Signal account for EA RoboFibo v12. The only available data is a 27-day AUDCAD backtest using MT4's control points model — flagged by the tester itself as too crude to rely on — recording 81.9% win rate, 1.98 profit factor, and 34.15% maximal drawdown over 630 trades on a $5,000 deposit. Older Myfxbook accounts for v7 and v8 under developer Yonif, last updated in 2016–2017, are historical, partly private, and not connected to v12. Do not base live capital decisions on any of these figures.
Does EA RoboFibo use grid or Martingale — and what does that mean for my account? +
Yes on both counts, and both are documented explicitly. The EA opens grid positions spaced by PipStep 50 with up to 30 buy and 30 sell orders permitted simultaneously. LotsExponent 1.1 enables optional Martingale-style lot scaling across grid levels. In a sustained trend against the grid, open exposure compounds quickly — the v8 Myfxbook account showing a -99.64% loss is a documented example of this outcome.
Is the v12 package the original developer EA or a reseller copy? +
The original RoboFibo EA is associated with developer Yonif/Hobiheboh based on older Myfxbook records and blog posts covering v7 through v13. The current v12 package is distributed through reseller and vendor stores. The distribution chain is not independently confirmed. Because the .mq4 source code is included, you can open and inspect the file directly before use.
The backtest shows 81.9% win rate and profit factor of 1.98 — is that meaningful? +
Those figures come from a 27-day control points backtest, which MT4 flags as a crude approximation that does not simulate real tick data, spread variation, or slippage. The same backtest shows average losing trades of -$47.62 against average winners of $20.82 — consistent with a grid EA that wins frequently but takes larger losses when the grid unwinds. A high win rate from this model type does not predict live account performance.
What account size do I actually need to run this safely? +
The preset files are configured for a $100 minimum deposit, but older developer documentation explicitly states that $100 on a cent account may produce large drawdown. The documented recommended balance is $1,000 for standard account H1 multi-pair use. Given the 30-order grid capacity and optional lot scaling, the realistic safe floor depends on your broker's margin requirements and your chosen lot size. Run on demo at your intended lot size and verify peak margin usage before going live.
What are the real risks and how should I manage them? +
The 34% maximal drawdown in the backtest comes from a modeling method too unreliable to treat as a ceiling — real drawdown could be higher. Grid exposure of up to 30 simultaneous orders per direction, combined with Martingale-style lot scaling, means a sustained adverse trend can accumulate losses faster than the global take-profit recovers them. The v8 live account wipeout on Myfxbook confirms this is not theoretical. Use the lowest-drawdown preset, keep lot sizes small relative to balance, choose a broker with tight spreads, and complete a 90-day demo run before live deployment.
What broker and spread conditions does this EA require? +
Developer documentation references standard, ECN, and cent account compatibility. Older live accounts were run on Tickmill and FBS. The global take-profit target is 20 pips and grid PipStep is 50 pips — wide spreads will directly compress the profit target and widen grid entry costs. Specific spread maximums are not documented; test your broker's typical spread against the 20-pip TP on demo before going live.
